Rebeca žije so svojou matkou a dvoma sestrami a pri študiu má dve zamestnania, aby matke pomohla utiahnut rodinný rozpočet. Jedného dňa Rebeca zpôsobí dopravnú nehodu, pri ktorej sa zoznami s Eduardem. Ten nieje Rebecou okouzlený, pretože mu práve rozbila jeho nové auto, ale postupom času, jej kúzlu podlane. Eduardo je pritažlivý mladík z dobrej rodiny, ktorý pracuje v rodinnej firme. Chodí s krásnou Princeznou, ale skôr zo zvyku ako z lásky. Eduardo sa rozíde s Princeznou, aby dokázal Rebece svoj naozajstný záujem. Chce si ju zobrať, ale na svadbu nedorazí, pretože mu v tom zabránia. Do Rebecy sa zamiluje starší vdovec Sergio, ktorý je otcom Eduarda. A pretože Eduardo priviedol do iného stavu svoju bývalu priateľku,Princeznú, ktoru kvoli Rebecu opustil, musí sa s nou oženit. Rebeca je zufalá, lenže čo zmože jej rodina, kde sú samé ženy a je potreba ich zabezpečiť - maminku, ktorá je chorá a nemá na zaplatenie účtu z nemocnice, staršiu milovanu sestričku Nuirku, ktorá jej vždy bola oporou a nadre sa v bare každú noc i Patty, ktorá je zahalačka, ale predca len patrí do rodiny? Rebeca tak suhlasí so Sergiovým nápadom,zobrať si ho...
